 Cocaine, ammunition and a handgun were seized as Peel police made an arrest in a shooting at a Brampton sports bar that happened Sept. 8.

Julian Shand, 27, of Brampton has been charged with attempted murder, discharging a firearm with intent, drug trafficking and several other firearms offences, police report. He was arrested Tuesday, Sept. 18, and police say they seized a .22 calibre Arminus revolver, ammunition and crack cocaine with a street value of $9,800.

Man Charged With Attempted Murder in Brampton

The shooting happened sometime around 2:30 a.m. and the victim, a 32-year-old Brampton man, was driven to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. He was later transferred to a Toronto trauma centre and is expected to survive.

The hospital called police, but where the shooting happened was not known, even a day later. Investigators had to find the location. They determined it happened at a sports bar on Peter Robertson Boulevard near Dixie Road.
