A 22-year-old woman has suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in Brampton.

The incident occurred on James Potter Road in Brampton between Creditview Road and Bonavista Drive, around 6 p.m. on Nov. 7.

A female pedestrian was transported from the scene to a trauma centre in life-threatening condition, police said. Peel police later tweeted that her condition had been downgraded to non-life threatening.

Peel Region paramedics rushed the woman to a trauma centre in “life-threatening condition,” according to police.
