Peel paramedics say they rushed the pedestrian to a trauma centre, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
A male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and transported to a trauma centre with unknown injuries. Police later said he died at the trauma centre.
Police have closed Steeles between Hurontario Street and Lancashire Lane as officers from their major collision bureau investigate.

Police have closed Steeles Avenue West between Hurontario Street and Lancashire Lane for investigation.
