Around 4:30 Calgary police and EMS were called to a house near 59 Street and Memorial Drive N.E., the man was transported to Foothills Hospital.

Police said one man has been taken to hospital in serious condition after suffering a gunshot wound to the torso.

Neil Albertson lives next door to the house in Marlborough Park where the person was found shot. He and other neighbours said theyve seen police at the home in the past.

Lots of activity, lots of drug activity, lots of things have been going on over there, Albertson said. We see police cars out there quite often.
