Puslinch man killed in one of two fatal crashes in Cambridge
A 38-year-old Cambridge man was arrested after being involved in a two-vehicle collision which killed a 67-year-old man from Puslinch on Wednesday night, according to Waterloo Regional Police.

They say that at around 7 p.m. they were called to Saginaw Parkway near Stonecarin Drive in Cambridge for a hit-and-run collision.

According to a news release, the dirt bike was heading west on South when it failed to stop for a posted stop sign, hitting a KIA SUV.

Witnesses told police that a dark-coloured SUV was eastbound on Saginaw Parkway when the driver lost control and rammed a parked car.

The rider of the dirt bike, a 31-year-old Cambridge man, was ejected. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Twenty minutes later, police say they were called to Townline Road near Saginaw Parkway for a two-vehicle collision involving a Hyundai SUV and Mazda sedan.

Police say that a car and a dirt bike collided in the area of Dudhope Avenue and South Street left one person dead.

The Puslinch man was behind the wheel of the sedan and police say he was transported to Cambridge Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

KITCHENER – It was a deadly night on Cambridge roads after two fatal crashes happened just hours apart.

They say the Cambridge man is facing several charges including impaired driving causing death, dangerous driving causing death and failing to remain.

Police allege an SUV failed to remain at the scene after the vehicle lost control, hitting a parked car then fleeing the scene.

The driver of the SUV, a 38-year-old Cambridge man, was arrested. He faces charges of impaired driving causing death, dangerous operation causing death, 80 plus and fail to remain at the scene of an accident.

Then just before 7:30, police responded to the area of Townline Road near Saginaw for a crash involving two vehicles. 

The driver of the car, a 67-year-old Puslinch man, had to be extricated from the vehicle. He was taken to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

A 38-year-old Cambridge man is facing several charges including impaired driving causing death and failing to remain at the scene of a collision.

It was one of two fatal accidents in Cambridge on Wednesday night. A man who was driving a dirt bike died after the bike collided with sport utility vehicle in the Galt area.
