Gatineau police investigate Wednesday-morning injuries, death
One dead and one with serious injuries in pair of Gatineau police investigations
The Gatineau Police Service has two crime scenes taped off in the Hull area, after one man was found dead and another was found with serious injuries.

Officers were called to an apartment on Montpetit Street around 7 a.m., Wednesday, where they found a man with serious injuries.

No other details are being made available in this case at this time, so not to interfere with the current investigation.

Meanwhile, just a couple hours after the call on Montpetit Street, Gatineau police was called to 100 Gamelin St., concerning an injured person.

An autopsy will be performed on the body of the deceased to help investigators determine the causes and circumstances that led to his death.

Gatineau police continue to investigate a pair of incidents that occurred in Hull on Wednesday morning.

The first took place at around 7 a.m. when police responded to a medical call at an apartment on Montpetit Street, where they found a man with serious injuries. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The second occurred just after 9 a.m., when police arrived at a Gamelin Street property, near Richelieu Street, in response to another injury. In this case the man was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause and circumstances of his death.

In both cases, security perimeters were erected and investigators and forensic identification technicians brought in. No other information has been released.
