One man arrested after a vehicle collided with multi-residential building
Three people have been charged after police discovered a stolen vehicle that resulted in the seizure of numerous drugs and a Taser.

On Sept. 3 at about 1:30 p.m., Grande Prairie RCMP’s crime reduction unit (CRU) officers were patrolling the downtown area when they found a stolen vehicle, police said in a news release Monday. RCMP conducted a traffic stop and arrested both people inside.

RCMP seized crystal methamphetamine, fentanyl and cash from the vehicle. During their investigation, police received information on a third person who was en-route to the suspect vehicle to deliver more drugs. The man was intercepted by CRU and arrested.

Police seized 127 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 14 grams of cocaine, 25 grams of fentanyl, one Taser and $3,800 in cash.

Adam Byrne, 35, of Grande Prairie, and Lacey Hollingshead, 30, of Bluesky, Alta., have both been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Stacey Trotter, 33, of Grande Prairie, has been charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of a prohibited weapon and three counts of possession of a weapon contrary to an order.

Grande Prairie RCMP has stopped what they say was an attempted drug delivery in the city. On September 3rd, Crime Reduction Unit members were downtown when they say they saw a stolen vehicle.

They pulled the vehicle over and during a search say they found 127 grams of Crystal meth, 14 grams of cocaine, 25 grams of fentanyl, a taser and $3,800 in cash.

35-year-old Adam Byrne of Grande Prairie and 30-year-old Lacey Hollingshead of Bluesky have been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

33-year-old Stacey Trotter of Grande Prairie is also facing a number of charges including possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a prohibited weapon.
