Guelph man arrested at gunpoint

NEWS RELEASE GUELPH POLICE SERVICE ************************** On Nov. 25, 2018 at approximately 2:41 a.m., Guelph Police were called to a disturbance in the downtown where there was a report of a gun.

Parties involved in the disturbance fled the scene in a vehicle and were located by police on Cambridge Street. A gunpoint arrest was conducted and a passenger exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. Police arrested the male without incident.

As a result, Wojceich Puc, a 33-year-old Guelph male, was charged with two counts of breaching his recognizance. Puc appeared in court on Nov. 25, 2018.

Two other parties were arrested but released without any charges. No weapon or gun was recovered by police.

On Sunday at around 2:45 a.m., police were called about a disturbance downtown where there was a report of a gun.

Officers said those involved in the disturbance fled the scene in a vehicle and were eventually located on Cambridge Street. When a passenger exited the vehicle and attempted to get away on foot, officers drew their guns and arrested the man.

A 33-year-old Guelph man was charged with two counts of breaching recognizance. Two other people arrested were released without any charges. Police said no weapon or gun was recovered.
