A Guelph woman was arrested on Saturday in connection to the stabbing and charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and two counts of breaching her probation.
Guelph Police arrested a Guelph woman twice over the weekend, once in connection to a stabbing that happened in late November and a second time for breaching bail conditions.
The woman accused in the stabbing made bail shortly after her arrest and was released with several conditions.
But police allege the woman breached one of those conditions after she was seen at an apartment building in the city’s downtown core on Sunday night.

NEWS RELEASE GUELPH POLICE SERVICE **************************** On Nov. 25, 2019 at 9:20 p.m., members of the Guelph Police Service responded to an altercation in the downtown core of the City of Guelph. Upon arrival, a 29-year-old female was found suffering from a stab wound. The female was transported to Guelph General Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Early on the morning of Nov. 30, 2019, officers located the suspect in the downtown core of the City of the Guelph. She was subsequently arrested.
A 23-year-old Guelph female has been charged with: • Aggravated assault • Assault with a weapon • Weapons dangerous • Breach probation x2
She was held in custody for a bail hearing taking place later in the day, where she was released on a recognizance of bail with several conditions.
On the evening of Dec. 1, 2019, police observed her at an apartment building in the downtown core of the City of Guelph that she was prohibited from attending. She was again arrested and charged with breach recognizance.
