Mississauga hit-and-run leaves 75-year-old female pedestrian dead
Police say the incident happened just after 5 p.m. at the intersection of Sorrento Drive and Elia Avenue near Eglinton Avenue and Hurontario Street.

Police say the vehicle failed to remain on the scene of the accident. Through video surveillance in the area, they have identified the vehicle as a four-door while pick up truck with a partial license plate beginning with “A-V-2”.

Pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the local hospital. No gender or age released pending next of kin notification. No description of the suspect vehicle is available. Intersection remains closed for the investigation.
