Emergency crews were called to Dundas Street West and Liruma Road at 6:46 p.m. for a report of a three car collision involving a pickup truck, an SUV and a hatchback.

If everyone obeyed the speed limit, wore their seatbelt, AND stopped for Red lights, most of the carnage on our roadways would stop. But then I’d be out of a job, so please, please, please, keep crashing into each other! Just stop killing people.

Paramedics rendered first aid and then rushed the woman to hospital. She was pronounced dead a short time later.

Roadways in the area remained closed as of 9:00 p.m. as the major collisions bureau continued its investigation, but Mooken said police expected the scene to be cleared by 10 p.m. or a little after. Motorists are advised to continue to avoid the area and use alternate routes until the investigation wraps up.
