Man, 28, stabbed after road rage on the Mississauga QEW: police
The flames broke out in a detached garage in the area of North Haven Drive and Arbor Road, near Cawthra Road and Queen Elizabeth Way. Firefighters and police were called to the address at about 12:45 p.m.

Firefighters found the man inside the garage once the fire was extinguished, District Fire Chief Michael Sullivan, of Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services, told reporters on Tuesday.

A woman who was in the home at the time of the fire was assessed by paramedics but she did not suffer smoke inhalation, he said.

There was no vehicle in the garage. The fire slightly damaged the house next door, melting some siding.

The victim, who is now 18 years old, was found with minor injuries when police responded to the assault call near Airport Road and Bresler Drive on Saturday, Peel Regional Police Const. Danny Marttini said Tuesday.

He was rushed to a hospital trauma centre for treatment and his condition has since been upgraded to serious but non-life-threatening.
