“I think most players can talk about confidence and how comfortable can they feel on the ice. That’s something I’d lost. Not something that’s gone, but something I’ve lost,” explained Davidson.

“I went to the Hockey Hall of Fame when I was eight or nine. We bought all the Wayne Gretzky video,” Walker recalled. “We’d go home and put that in the VCR and watch that for hours.”Davidson was a sixth-round selection (162nd overall) by the Oilers in the 2010 draft. He appeared in 91 games over three seasons with the Oilers before being traded to Montreal for David Desharnais.

: Edmonton Oilers hoping to rebuild Brossoit’s confidence after tough third period in CalgaryRight now, it appears Walker and Davidson are in Edmonton to provide an upgrade in depth at two positions. Eric Gryba had two assists — his first points of the season — and was a +4 in Saturday’s wild 7-5 win over the Flames in Calgary while Johann Auvitu was a +3. So, it would be a surprise should either be scratched for Davidson Wednesday when the Oilers face off with the Flyers.”Being home really gives me that comfortability and really puts me back in my place,” explained Davidson.
