Jennifer Lynn Cook passed away April 2, 2018 at her residence. She was born January 22, 1983 to Cathy Itnyre Zhea and Greg Cook (Betty).
She leaves behind two children, Christy Cook and Cameron Maynard; grandson Alec (Chunk Butt) Menslage; sister, Lisa Tolbert; grandmothers Betty Itnyre and Peggy Cook; and many extended family members and friends.
He was an assistant professor at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine, where he won many awards for his teaching and considered a privilege to mentor medical students. He retired from Pathology Services Group in 2015. God and family were most important to him, but he also showed his love and compassion for everyone he encountered. He was a member of Norway Avenue Church of Christ, where he served as an Elder.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Chapmans Mortuary to assist with expenses.
Survivors in addition to his mother include; his wife, Carol Lewis Durst of Huntington; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert Durst of Huntington, and Eric and Jessica Durst of Proctorville, OH; two grandchildren, Sydney and Sawyer Durst; one sister and her spouse, Susan and Joseph Nott of Pt. Pleasant, WV; brother-in-law and wife, David and Katie Lewis of Pomeroy, OH; and several nephews and nieces.

Myrtle Louise McCloud
Myrtle Louise McCloud, 79, of Huntington passed away Monday, April 2, 2018 at her residence.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 6, 2018 at noon by Rev. Jerry Hensley at the Reger Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.

Myrtle was born on December 31, 1938 in Cabell County to the late Clifford and Grace Midkiff McCoy. She worked for Owens-Illinois for 25 years.
Rettie was born June 26, 1949, in Glen Dale, W.Va., the daughter of the late Gilbert R. and Betty (Davis) Wade. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-brother, George Ward.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. McCloud, Sr.; three brothers, James Harvey McCoy, Harry (Boo) McCoy, Sr., and Clinton Bush; two sisters, Deloris Davis and Virginia Byrom; and one son-in-law, John Michael Dolen.
Survivors include his wife Carolyn Wilfong, daughters, Kaitlin Warf of Marlinton, and Shalayna Holbrook of Charleston, sons, Logan Warf of Marlinton, and Dustin Holbrook of Charleston, one granddaughter, Chole Holbrook, half-brothers, Larry Fowler of Renick, and Loyd Fowler of White Sulphur Springs, half-sister, Kay Scurlock of Tenn.
She is survived by her children, Bobby Lee and Brenda McCloud, Jr., Thomas (Tommy)and Sue McCloud, Jim and Debbie McCloud, Becky McCloud Dolen and John, and Chris McCloud; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers, Frank McCoy and Joseph McCoy; one sister, Barbara Hardy; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Lantz Funeral Home with Pastor Jeannie Nelson officiating. Following the funeral services his wishes will be honored and he will be cremated.
