Three arrested in Jane Street robbery in North Bay
No charges in pedestrian death, victim identified
City police say a 55-year-old North Bay man, Joseph Young, was the victim of a pedestrian-vehicle accident early yesterday morning.

According to police, on November 20, shortly after 6 a.m. a vehicle was traveling northbound on Mountainview Ave. in North Bay when it hit Young, a pedestrian.

The pedestrian was transported to hospital by paramedics with serious, life-threatening injuries. Police report the pedestrian has since succumbed to injuries sustained in the collision and has been identified as Joseph Young, 55, from North Bay. The police requested a Technical Traffic Collision Investigator from the OPP to assist in the investigation and say that the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and has been cooperative with the investigation.

"The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and has been cooperative with the investigation," said Constable John Schultz.

A pedestrian who died as a result of his injuries after being struck by a vehicle in North Bay Tuesday has been identified as Joseph Young, 55.

Young was hit by a northbound vehicle shortly after 6 a.m on Mountainview Avenue. He was transported to hospital and later died due to his injuries.

The North Bay Police Service requested a technical traffic collision investigator from the OPP to assist in the investigation. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and has been cooperative with the investigation. No charges have been laid. The investigation is continuing.

Mountainview Drive is closed from Wickstead Avenue to Lake Heights for an investigation and police are requesting drivers to avoid the area.
