Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene of the Sabel Street home — in the Lakeshore Road and Bronte Road area — at about 12:30 p.m.
The patient, after being trapped on the first floor by second-floor debris, was extricated by airbags and transported to hospital by Halton EMS. Hed been trapped for roughly 30 minutes, during which he was conscious and breathing.
I do know he was complaining of some serious injuries to his body, so Im hopeful that the person will recover, its just undetermined at this point, he said.

A worker was seriously injured after a home under construction partially collapsed in Oakville on Wednesday.
Oakville Fire Deputy Chief Andy Glenn said the man had fallen through the floor and was stuck underneath a large load of lumber. No one else was injured.
Fire officials said there were at least three people working inside the home when a portion of the wood structure collapsed.

Halton police said the worker, who was located near the garage area, sustained a leg injury. No other workers were hurt.
