Officers with the Brant County OPP attended the scene, where it was determined that the vehicle was travelling northbound on Highway 24 and struck the pedestrian.

Highway 24 was closed between Highway 53 and Arthur Road for several hours while the investigation continued.

BRANT COUNTY, Ont. — Provincial police are investigating a fatal accident in Brant County in southwestern Ontario.

An Oakville man has been identified as the victim of a collision involving a pedestrian in Brant County Saturday night.

At about 10 p.m., 68-year-old William Stone was struck and killed by a vehicle travelling northbound on Highway 24, south of Highway 53 near the Brant Municipal Airport.
