RCMP searching for runaway inmate in Saskatoon, deemed low safety risk
Spencer Norris Bear, 47, walked away from the MACSI Treatment Centre in Saskatoon while on leave from the Whitespruce Provincial Training Centre in Yorkton, Sask., according to a police news release.

Bear is described as about five feet eight inches tall, weighing around 145 pounds, slender build, brown hair and brown eyes. 

Anyone with information about Bear's whereabout its asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

It is a priority for CBC to create a website that is accessible to all Canadians including people with visual, hearing, motor and cognitive challenges.

Bear was at the MASCI Treatment Centre while on a leave from the Whitespruce Provincial Training Centre, and was last accounted for at the treatment centre around 8:45 p.m. on Thursday.

Yorkton RCMP are searching for a Whitespruce Provincial Training Centre inmate, who walked away from the MACSI Treatment Centre in Saskatoon on Nov. 22.

Fire crews conducted a shelter in place to protect a woman with mobility challenges during a building fire on Sunday morning.

Spencer Norris Bear was on leave from Whitespruce Provincial Training Centre and was last accounted for at around 8:45 p.m. Thursday night.

Bear is described as an Aboriginal male, 5’7″ tall and 145 pounds, with a slender build, brown hair and brown eyes.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact the Yorkton Rural RCMP Detachment at 306-786-4500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
