Man falls 25 metres from cliffs in Scarborough
The man has fallen over the cliff edge at Queens parade and fire crews, police, paramedics and Scarborough and Filey coastguard rescue teams are all at the scene.

Both the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the Coastguard Rescue Helicopter have been used in Scarborough after a man fell down a cliff.

According to the coastguard, a 70-year-old local man had dropped some items on the other side of the barrier at the top of the cliff, but fell as he tried to retrieve them. 

The coastguard added that when he left their care he was “stable and conscious” and that he is “quite fortunate.”

Fire crews used specialist rope rescue equipment and Yorkshire Ambulance Service sent two ambulances, a hazardous area response team and the air ambulance.
