Neighbour, 83, cuts mans face, punches woman in the face
Detectives from Redcliffe Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a man with attempted murder following an incident at Scarborough yesterday afternoon.

At about 1.35pm, it is alleged an altercation occurred between a 71-year-old man and an 83-year-old man at an address on Landsborough Avenue.

It will also be alleged a 74-year-old woman, who attempted to intervene in the altercation, was punched in the face.

Police have charged an 83-year-old Scarborough man with one count each of attempted murder and serious assault.

An 83-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly slashing a neighbour with a knife and punching another neighbour in the face.

Police said a 71-year-old man and the accused started arguing outside a Landsborough Avenue home in Scarborough about 1.35pm on Thursday.

They alleged the older man slashed the 71-year-old with a knife, cutting his face and forearm. He was taken to hospital but his injuries were not considered life-threatening.

TheĀ 83-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and serious assault. He was due to appear in Redcliffe Magistrates Court on Friday.
