Police have released surveillance camera images of a suspect vehicle in a hit-and-run in Scarborough that left a woman with life-threatening injuries earlier this week.

According to police, the 24-year-old woman was in a crosswalk on Danforth Road when she was hit by a minivan that had turned onto the street from northbound Kennedy Road.

In a news release issued on Friday morning, police said that they are continuing to appeal to any local residents, businesses and drivers with security or dash-camera footage of the incident to come forward.

Toronto police have released security images of a suspect vehicle in a hit-and-run that left a 24-year-old woman with life-threatening injuries at a Scarborough crosswalk.

Police responded to a call about a collision in the area of Danforth and Kennedy Rds. shortly before 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said the woman was walking through a crosswalk from the west side of Kennedy across Danforth when she was hit by a left-turning driver.

The driver of a dark-coloured minvan or similar vehicle was travelling north on Kennedy trying turn onto Danforth. The driver struck the victim and dragged her a short distance before fleeing the scene, police said.

Police are asking local residents, businesses and drivers who may have security or dash-camera footage of the area to contact investigators.
