A male believed to be in his 50s has been rushed to a trauma centre after being struck by a vehicle in Scarborough early Friday evening.

Officers responded to reports of a pedestrian struck near Glamorgan Avenue and Dundalk Drive around 5:40 p.m.

Two vehicles are believed to be involved in the collision, according to investigators. Police said an incident occurred between two vehicles causing one driver to stop his vehicle in front of the other. One of the drivers then mounted the right shoulder, allegedly striking the driver of the other vehicle before fleeing the scene.
