Scarborough crash sends boy to trauma centre with serious injuries
Four people, including two children were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Scarborough on Monday evening.

Paramedics and police responded to a call for a collision on Pharmacy Avenue and Huntingwood Drive around 6 p.m.

A boy has been rushed to a paediatric trauma centre in life-threatening condition after a two-car crash briefly left him unconscious in Scarborough Monday.

Police say one car crashed into a light pole. There is no information available about the second car at this time.

Police were called to the Pharmacy Avenue and Huntingwood Drive area just before 6 p.m., where one of the cars had smashed into a light standard.

One male child was taken to a pediatric trauma centre in serious but non-life threatening condition. His condition later worsened and his injuries are now considered life-threatening.

Both of the children had been in one vehicle at the time of the crash, Toronto Police Const. David Hopkinson said.

A boy has been rushed to a pediatric trauma centre with serious injuries after a collision took place in Scarborough on Monday evening.

At around 6 p.m., emergency crews were called to the area of Pharmacy Avenue and Huntingwood Drive for reports of vehicle smashing into a light pole.

The boy was taken from the scene to hospital in non-life-threatening condition by responding paramedics.
