The driver of the Lexus did not suffer any physical injuries in the collision.

The second collision occurred around 9:55 p.m. Emergency responders were called to Dieppe Road near Neilson Avenue, where the initial investigation determined a 21-year-old St. Catharines man was walking on Dieppe when he was struck by a westbound 2006 Lexus SUV that was being driven by a 72-year-old St. Catharines man. The pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital before being transported to an out-of-town hospital in critical condition.
