Man in his 20s dies after two-vehicle crash in Surrey
Mounties say they were called to the crash around 1:15 a.m. Sunday after a Camero and a Mustang collided along on Nordell Way, just east of 120 Street. 

The driver of the Mustang received serious but non-life threatening injuries and two men in the Camero were not seriously injured.

The passenger in the Mustang was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Both occupants were in their late 20s.

Police say it was raining heavily at the time of the crash, but they didn't say if that was a factor in the cause of the collision.

Surrey RCMP were called to Nordel Way just east of 120 Street around 1:15 a.m. for reports of a two-vehicle collision, which sent a black Mustang into a hydro pole.

Police say the other vehicle, a grey Camaro, was travelling westbound in the fast lane of Nordel Way when the Mustang, which was passing the Camaro, lost control.

SURREY (NEWS 1130) – A man in his 20s is dead after a crash involving two-vehicles in Surrey early this morning.

The man was a passenger in a Mustang that collided with a Camaro near Nordel Way and 120th Street just after 1:00 a.m. before slamming into a hydro pole.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or what led to it, or has dashcam video, is asked to contact Surrey RCMP.

The driver of the Mustang is in hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries, while the two men who were riding in the Camaro have minor injuries.
