RCMP say they were called to the area of 104 Avenue and 133 Street around 11:45 a.m. for a report of a single shot fired.

The victim, whose age is unknown, was found suffering from gunshot wounds and taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers are interviewing witnesses and canvassing the area for evidence, police said, asking anyone with additional information who has not already spoken to them to call Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502. Tips can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477. The file number is 2019-174809, police said.

Police say the shooting appears to be targeted. No arrests have been made and no suspects have been identified.

Anyone who witnessed the shooting or has any information helpful to investigators can contact Surrey RCMP or Crime Stoppers.

A woman named Nicole, who did not give her last name, told CTV News Vancouver she didn't hear shots, but she did see the victim.

"All I heard was some yelling, so we looked outside and saw this man rolling around on the ground," she said. "We see that quite a bit and just assumed he was a drug addict. And then, the next thing you know, the police were attending."

Nicole said the shooting happened in "a very bad area," and that she and her neighbours sometimes worry about being victims of violence themselves.

RCMP say they received reports of shots being fired at 11:49 a.m. PT. Officers on scene located a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

RCMP are on scene following a report of shots fired in the Guildford area of 13200 104th Ave. in Surrey.

On Nov. 10 at 11:49 a.m., Surrey RCMP received a report from the public of shots fired. Upon arrival, a male victim was located on the scene suffering from apparent gunshot injuries. The male was then transported to a hospital for medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. 

A shooting in Surrey has left one man injured in what police believe was a targeted attack in the 13200 block of 104 Avenue Sunday morning.

This investigation is still in the early stages, however, based on the initial information the incident does appear to be a targeted one.

The area has been taped off while investigators canvass the scene and look for witnesses and suspects.

The area surrounding the scene will be sealed off for a considerable amount of time.
