It happened just before 1 a.m. at the corner of King Street West and Brant Street, where police say the man got into a “verbal altercation” with three people in a car.

Two of at least four shots fired at the man hit him, and he was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Three people fled the scene in a red four-door newer model Lexus and was last seen heading westbound on King and the southbound on Portland Street.
Police say the vehicle then fled west on King Street, and was last seen heading south on Portland Street.
Police have released an image of the car taken from a security camera, and are asking anyone with information to contact them.
Officers were called to King Street West and Brant Street around 1 a.m. where a man was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

A 25-year-old man is in hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries after he was shot in the citys Fashion District early on Saturday morning.
Police said they were called to the corner of King Street West and Brant Street sometime after 1 a.m. Saturday for a report of a shooting.
Investigators say the victim was standing on a sidewalk when he became involved in an argument with three people in a car.
Officers arrived to find the victim conscious and breathing. He was rushed to a hospital trauma centre for treatment.
Investigators say they are searching for a newer model red Lexus sedan that was last seen heading west on King Street and south on Portland Street.
King and Brant streets as well as Spadina Avenue and King Street West were both closed for a time to assist with the investigation.
