DiRT Rally 2.0 Announced, Races to PS4 in February
Codemasters announced DiRT Rally 2.0 earlier today ahead of its launch on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 across the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC platforms. The pre-order bonuses and details on the Deluxe Edition have also been revealed.

DiRT Rally 2.0 pre-order customers will get access to the Porsche 911 RGT Rally Spec as a bonus vehicle to use on “the stages”.

“Rally is incredibly important to Codemasters and the entire team is absolutely dedicated to creating the most authentic experience possible in a game,” chief game designer Ross Gowing said in today’s announcement. “Our passionate, knowledgeable community helped to make DiRT Rally a special title. We have been working with a selection of that community alongside a roster of real world rally drivers to ensure that we meet their high standards.”

The DiRT Rally 2.0 Deluxe Edition includes the first two “seasons” of post-launch DLC, each with three locations (split between rally and rallycross) and five early vehicle unlocks of the following: Ford Escort MkII, Lancia Stratos, Subaru Impreza 1995, Audi Sport Quattro S1 E2, and Ford Fiesta OMSE SuperCar Lite.

Codies are a bit vague on what’s different in this new game, but expect new cars reflecting the current WRC season (obvs) along with new prettiness and “new authentic handling model, tyre choice and surface deformation.” In the absence of more details, quotes!

DiRT Rally 2.0 will release worldwide on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on Tuesday, February 26, 2019. The authentic rally sequel will take you to six rally locations around the world, the official game of the FIA World Rallycross will also feature cars from the 2018 season along with eight of the official WorldRX circuits at launch.

While the core Dirt games are vaguely arcade-ish (compared to some drive ’em ups), Codies swerved back towards simmy driving with Dirt Rally in 2015 before returning to their path with Dirt 4 in 2017. Next, more simswamp!

F1 2018 is the fourth iteration of F1 in the current console generation. F1 2017 was an excellent title and deservedly received a 9/10 from us. The foundation was set and I was keen to see how various elements would move on, besides the challenge of integrating the halo, so how did it do? On […]

Management simulations have been a staple of the games industry for as long as I can remember. Fond memories of Grand Prix World from Microprose on PC using mods that brought it up to date captured motorsport management perfectly. Then came a drought for about 15 years where nothing substantial came about, until PlaySport Games […]
