Toronto-Waterloo Region flights to start in November

“The start of the Niagara project allowed us to implement a perfect model, which has not been implemented before in the Toronto region or anywhere near here, for that matter, that is operating out of private terminals in order to commit to scheduled service,” he said.

The new facilities will help support additional services offered by the airline that currently carries up to eight passengers at a time between Niagara District and Billy Bishop airports — at a cost of $99 per one-way trip, tax included.“It was so successful that, only … eight months later, the airport doubled the number of flights during the week and they added weekends,” said Niagara District Airport vice-chair Robin Garrett.

The Canadian airline says travellers will be able to fly with them from Toronto to Barrie’s Lake Simcoe Regional Airport and Region of Waterloo International Airport in Kitchener-Waterloo starting Nov. 6.

Nowrouzi said the airline is investing in new aircraft to support the increased services, with plans to buy several planes to complement its existing fleet of eight passenger planes.
