Police make two arrests in Welland fentanyl investigation – StCatharinesStandard.ca

This month, Niagara Regional Police started looking into alleged drug activity at a Thorold Road address.

An investigation started on Friday and a search warrant was executed, resulting in the arrest of Robert Bottenfield and Tina Laramee.

Two Welland residents charged in fentanyl investigation

Police seized fentanyl, methamphetamine, cash and indicators of trafficking, says a news release from the NRP.

Both face charges of trafficking a schedule I substance, possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and possession of methamphetamine.

Earlier this week, Niagara Regional Police conducted an investigation into the alleged sale of fentanyl from an address on Thorold Road in the Rose City. 

Yesterday, Robert Bottenfield and Tina Laramee were both arrested and charged with various drug offences including trafficking, possession and possession of proceeds of a crime over $5,000.
